Another obsession of mine are old tins and the wonderful typography and designs that come with them. Yesterday I found these two new beauties in a brocante-shop:

Ondanks mijn al gigantische oude spullen collectie slaag ik er toch telkens weer in om nieuwe (oude) spullen te vinden.
Een groot onderdeel van die collectie is oude blikken dozen en de geweldige typografie en ontwerpen dat daarbij horen. Gisteren vond ik nog twee van zo'n schoonheden in een brocante-winkeltje:

For comparison: this are my currently in use metal-polishes. These brands still use a bit of an old fashioned typography and lay-out but I really hope they never change that; it's just too darn cool :p

Dit zijn flesjes zilverpoets, zodus zijn ze een beetje werk/juweelontwerp-verbonden ;)
... of dat is toch wat ik mijzelf wijsmaakte om deze aankoop weer eens goed te praten :p
Ter vergelijking; dit zijn mijn huidige metaalpoetsen, momenteel in gebruik. Deze merken gebruiken nog steeds een iets wat 'oude' vormgeving, maar ik hoop van harte dat ze dat nooit zullen veranderen, want dat maakt ze gewoon zo leuk ;)
back to the two old ones then: I only found information on the glass bottle. This silverpolish is from "Ca-va-seul" wich is a brand from Vilvoorde (Belgium). I didn't find the year or anthing else; just more info on the brand itself wich is found in 1889.

Terug naar de twee oude potjes dan; ik vond enkel info over het glazen flesje. Deze is van het merk 'Ca-va-seul', een merk uit Vilvoorde. Ik vond geen jaar of andere info over het flesje zelf, alleen over het merk welk is opgericht in 1889.
